Aroma has slight melon, honey and a little hint of malty earthiness. Flavour is mild - watery, even - with hints of honey and vague fruitiness (peach?). Really a quick, harmless trifle of a beer, like a Hugh Grant movie or an early Beatles tune. harrisoni (6794), Ashford, Kent, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2006 On tap at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Gold with thin white head. Some honey and stale malt on aroma. Sweetish honey in mouth. Finish is a little bitter. I rather like it. It’s silly and it’s too carbonated, but I love the honey and I like the crisp hop finish. Bit of lemon. I like it. jcwattsrugger (5273), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2007 on tap-pours a disappearing white head with bubbles and yellow color. Aroma is mild grassy, malt, faint sweet pine. Taste is grassy, honey, some grain. OK/mild carbonation. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 16, 2004 Pale golden colour, fizzy carbonation and a frothy white head. Clean slightly malty aroma profile, but is compromised by vegetable and acetone quality underneath it. Thin bodied and very over-carbonated with little in the way of flavour. No bitterness to speak of. Quite disappointing from a brewery I usually enjoy. LaMichael (4999), Colorado, USA

Clear yellow color. Thick, sweet, syrupy maple and sour honey up front, with some old compost-like starchy spent grains on the back of the tongue. Nose is just a bland, sour honey... not impressed with this one. joss (3659), Garching b. München, Germany
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Sep 17, 2006 Tap @ Spinnakers. Pale green golden, foamy head. Papery, slightly spicy nose. Tasteless, watery. Stop brewing this please. CapFlu (3482), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Mar 18, 2005 (Draught) Very light, clear, yellow body with an active carbonation. Thin, white creamy yet quick dissipating head. The nose is sweet and wheaty... perhaps tones of honey but I have to fight to smell them. Flavour is of sour milk. Not terribly enjoyable. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Apr 24, 2008 Hazy orange-tinted gold, big fizzy head, rapidly recedes, no lace. Slightly sour aroma intermingled with sweet malt. Fizzy mouthfeel initially, sweet malts are ruined with a sour puckering finish. I’m sure this bottle must be off. I notice most other raters have had this on tap-- I’ll have to give it another shot someday.
