stephen louis (162), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 19, 2004 on opening, slight hint of honey and floral hops. pours a very light gold, almost yellow, with very little head.
Taste:Fantastic. What a great flavour,a hint of honey, sweet hops, flowers, and honey cloves, nice light malt middle, more carbonation then pour would indicate, finish is dry from the hops, but almost a super slight buttery butanedione, in a very good way at the same time.
Body is fine and this beer is easy to drink..
shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 14, 2004 Updated: Jun 5, 2005The people in Victoria don’t appreciate what they have. This was great. The smell was like fresh bread. Yeasty. Great carbonation. The head was thin but had good lacing. The flavor was lightly honey sweet with a fine pale ale finish. harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 10, 2006 On tap at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Gold with thin white head. Some honey and stale malt on aroma. Sweetish honey in mouth. Finish is a little bitter. I rather like it. It’s silly and it’s too carbonated, but I love the honey and I like the crisp hop finish. Bit of lemon. I like it. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Aug 10, 2009 Pretty much a garden-variety pale ale, but far better than a swill. Poured with a nice golden colour and a medium head. Aroma was more hops than malt as was the taste. I could not detect and honey in this one. Malakin (465), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada May 14, 2004 Updated: Jun 18, 2004Nice hoppy honey aroma. Hoppy flavour with a fair bit of honey and light bitterness. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 7, 2008 Draft at the brewpub; Nose of slight sweetness and floral hops; clear gold with a medium white head; flavor is light hop bitterness and some sweet honey; finish lightly bitter. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 17, 2007 on tap-pours a disappearing white head with bubbles and yellow color. Aroma is mild grassy, malt, faint sweet pine. Taste is grassy, honey, some grain. OK/mild carbonation. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 15, 2004 A nice honey ale. Aroma is yeast with noticeable sweet malts. This is a nice tasting beer that is light and refreshing. Smooth and enjoyable but not overwhelming as other beers tend to be.
