Lots of butter/butterscotch in the aroma, mostly diacetyl. Flavour is a touch buttyery as well, pleasant bitterness flirts with astringency in the finish. Mild malt. Average palate. I expect a draft sample might be better. Brewnosers Meeting. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

Saveurs de malt et de céréales. Houblon de soutien. Peut-être un peu trop vieille. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Bottle. Golden orange, small head, little lace. Decent citrusy hop aroma with fruity malt flavor. Finish is mildly bitter for an IPA, and the body is a bit thin. A refreshing beer though, not bad, but not exceptional. Orange color, deep and rich rusty orange. Very light texture overall, very fresh, though. Semi-bitter taste with a dry finish. Not a hop monster by any means, and it almost resembles an English Pale Ale: some nutty, caramely chewy malt flavors. Good stuff. HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada

Pours orange with lovely long-lasting head. Hops don’t overpower but are still quite well-done. Some yeastiness is there too. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA

Dryish palate, touches of biscuit and caramel, fairly dry and bitter but not aggressive in the finish. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 21, 2005 Amber with a creamy head and spots of lace. Toasted malts and fruity hops. Some orange citrus and floral hops. Caramel as well. Flavor is pretty malty with some bitter hops. There is a note of the fruits again. Watery with a bitter tail. Too malty.
