3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DuffMan (4242) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 25, 2008
slightly orange-tinited golden colour, big rocky white head. Tangerine and caramel aroma. Sweet entry giving way to floral and citrus hoppiness, mildly bitter finish. This is certainly not the Cascade hop monster that many American IPAs are, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps it should be re-classed as an American pale ale.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 presario (3977) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 20, 2005
Bottle. Cloudy brownish orange. Big head. Dusty light fruit aroma. Light biting hops at first. Light body and malt. Hops are very present and the flavour is a little salty. Long finish builds as it dries on the tongue. May be an historically acurate IPA but it is not as pleasant as many modern versions.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 CapFlu (3767) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2005
(Draught) Thin, white, creamy head with good carbonation and clear golden body. Rather less orangy in colour than the IPAs I am used to? The aroma is that of fizzy sparkling water and ample english malts that confuse my nose. Perhaps their is a mild whiskey odour as well? The malt flavour is too overpowering for an IPA as the hops hardly appear in the taste. Its good but not as tasty as the PNW IPAs I have recently become accustom to...

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nate (3026) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2007
Draught sample from brewpub. Light hoppy honey aroma, that house character that most have seemed to have, with very mild bitterness. Golden clear with foamy lacing head. Medium body with light carbonation. Nice medium sweet character, grainy with light fresh hops. Medium bitter finish with mild bitter after. A decent IPA.
