| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 24, 2002 Bitter hop aroma, very light appearance for an IPA. They say this is 7.1% ABV! Unbelievable! I have never seen alcohol masked so well, it gets points for that alone. I would have believed 4.9%. HazelRah (276), Summerland, British Columbia, Canada

Pours orange with lovely long-lasting head. Hops don’t overpower but are still quite well-done. Some yeastiness is there too. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Surprisingly it has a very good malt aroma, like the best German Pilsners, full and leaning to the cereals side. Quite full body, very good malt flavor with very good hopping too, again like a German Pilsners but with a light fruity touch and less crispy and dry. Strange, but very good. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 14, 2004 Pale amber colour and a cloudy white head. Lacing to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is mostly of caramel, malt, and a hint of hops. Oily hop smell is quite subtle. Mouthfeel is quite creamy. Has a sweet malt taste and a very long pleasantly bitter finish. Hard to believe the ABV because it is very well hidden. Very good and well-balanced IPA. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Aroma is mostly of malt, and a hint of hops. Mouthfeel is quite nice and creamy. Has a sweet malt taste and a bitter finish. I love the ABV cranked up, oh ha! tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2004 Sweet, malty, fruity (peach/apricot), yeasty aroma - almost like a Belgian Tripel. Hazt golden straw colour with decent white head that lasts nicely and plenty of yeast in suspension. Assertive bitterness. Strong hop flavour. Sweet and yeasty. Lightly spicy, kind of floral. Collapsing body a la Fantome or Hitachino though not as pronounced. Bottle (enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere).
