(Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Amber color, offwhite head. Very strange aroma that makes me think of onions. Flavor is better, hoppy and quite bitter.

Glass on tap at the pub. Dark copper. Creamy head. Mild aroma. Light delicate body with a satiny texture. Very good hops and a nice finish.

Great looking mahogany amber with a cream fluff head. Slightly chocolate aroma, perhaps carastan malt and East Keng Goldings? Nicely flavored, well balanced. A decent, non-bitter, session ESB.

Pours a dark but clear amber with a loose head with great lacing and good retention. Pungent fruity aroma with notes of alcohol. Wonderful complex taste - plum, scotch, peat, and nectarine. Sufficient hopping, but nothing particularly exciting. Low carbonation and thin body, but extremely well-blended in taste and texture. Light hops in the finish. Very pleasant, well-balanced bitter - fruity and complex and sessionable.

Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin offwhite head. Aroma of earthy, spicy hops with malt and peaches. Flavor of earthy, spicy hops with peaches and malt, it’s not bad but doesn’t feel entertaining enough to try this beer again.

Light caramel color, off white head. Aroma is a light hoppiness, caramel, dried fruits. Taste is floral, pale malts, light hoppiness, lightly nutty.

Hand pump sample from brewpub. Very light aroma with touch of biscuit and little else. A bit of cherry wood. Copper red clear with frothy off-white head. Medium-heavy body with smooth carbonation. Light cherrywood acidity with dry sweet biscuit and neutral bitterness. Good nutty dry bitter finish and light bitter after. A nice bitter.

Almost clear copper-bronze body with a small beige head. Aroma is like opening a can of peaches in a pine-tree forest. Taste is fruity in a fruit juice type of way (too fruity for me). Like a mix of all my breakfast juices. Not even very tasty except for a very british medium intensity but short bitterness. Once that little hop attack in the finish is gone I am left with a fruit juice feeling. Bof. A british-inspired beer brewed in a city named after a queen and named after a piece of yacht equipment, it so desperately wants to be classy, but this is more a breakfast juice than a reception champagne.
