| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Pours a dark but clear amber with a loose head with great lacing and good retention. Pungent fruity aroma with notes of alcohol. Wonderful complex taste - plum, scotch, peat, and nectarine. Sufficient hopping, but nothing particularly exciting. Low carbonation and thin body, but extremely well-blended in taste and texture. Light hops in the finish. Very pleasant, well-balanced bitter - fruity and complex and sessionable. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2009 This one poured with a nice amber colour and a medium, tan-coloured head. Aroma revealed a bit of malt, but the taste revealed more of the malt and a hint of the hops. A very nice ESB. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada

Mild bitterness some fruitiness in the palate but otherwise unremarkable. Malakin (465), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Hops are quite fruity, in fact it smells exactly like a can of Del Monte peaches in syrup! Now there’s something you don’t find every day in a Beer!
Very quaffable, British-like flavor profile, fruity hops with only a slight astringency in the tail end make this a very refreshing brew. Some cookies in the body but was a little weak. This stuff must be awesome on cask, but this bottled product tastes pretty close to the real deal. KingPinHead (390), Des Moines, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2005 Color a clear brown-amber, with a moderate head that holds its own in the glass and leaves little doodles on the glass...Aroma is a combination of caramel and light roastiness, very nice for this style ...The flavor features a three-tiered attack of slight malt sweetness, rich-tasting but well-judged roastiness and a round but assertive hop profile; carbonation is appropriately restrained, allowing this flavor-packed package to deliver its payload. The finish is smooth and leaves a pleasant hop dryness that coats the bottom of the palate...Continuous sipping is not a challenge! The body is just on the light side of medium, but it feels just about right, especially with the lively contribution of the hops. Overall, this is an excellent bitter, a well-balanced combination of flavor, refreshment, and smooth refinement... Nik925 (305), California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2008 On tap at the brewpub, was quite thin on flavor and texture. Was quite smooth and lacked flaws, but it also lacks anything to write about. Not impressed at all by this one. Very bland.
