3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 gramity (1057) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 31, 2012
Toasted nut aroma with a brownish color. A small head that dissapeared quickly. Flavor was malty and again nutty. Sweet and flavorful. A good brown ale.

Loved the colour. Small dissipating head. Mild coffee with cream aroma mixed up there with the malt. Taste? Well, I definitely did pick up some nuts here. Not a lot but some. Spinnaker’s makes very softly carbonated drinks, I think that’s their forte. It’s an odd thing to say, until you remember the same can be said of Fuller’s.
I’m more of a fan of this style than other beer geeks, so I can safely say that since this is Spinnaker’s best "sessionable" beer I’ve tried it’s the most likely one I’ll buy again.

Nutty, roast, chocolate, earth. Pours brown, some haze, thin head. THe flavor is rather straightforward with nutty notes, light sweetness, and an earthy moderately bitter finish.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lagerboy (672) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 18, 2011
Dark amber, receding tan head. The sweet nutty malt aroma seemed promising, but tasted kinda thin. Light bodied, low hopped. Tart thin finish. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - AUG 24, 2011
Bottle from Spinnakers Spirit Merchants, Victoria Brown mahogany color, with small head. Strange aroma of roasted malts and light durian. Lean body, with mild caramel flavor, and a hint of vegetables and cardboard. Low bitterness, with a very light trace of liquorice in the end. Failing on many points: no nuttiness, poor malt presence, and even poor hopping.

The dark malts with the spices added made this easy to drink and had a great after taste.
