Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, burnt caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100805]

Cask at GBBF 2010. An amber beer with no head. The aroma has light notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with a light note of diacethyl, leading to a dry and lightly fruity finish.

Floral malt aroma. Bronze amber coloured and fruity with a hint of bitterness and dryness in a peppery full malt finish.

Cask@GBBF2010. Reddish amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, caramel and some sweetish spices. Flavour is fruits, wood, some earth, caramel malts as well as mild toffeeish notes.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is roasted malty. Roasted malty and slight fruity. Bitter and fruity into the finish. Ends dry.

Bottle. Poured with a big head that took time to dissipate. Slightly bitter with a medium body. A pleasant if unassertive bitter.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Dark golden/brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of bready malts with a toch of caramel. Flavour has sweet malts. Watery with a slighty bitter finish.

The Criterion. Headless reddish bitter with a soapy, watery bitterness. But I have been on the Belgians. Good hops in the nose as it warms. Wet leaves and earth. Dapple of marzipan/cherry. Flat and tired.
