3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle conditioned as ’Sovereign’ 5.2%. Initial aroma is a whiff of yeast with metallic notes. Settles down a bit and is actually a well flavoured strong bitter. Biscuity, some lemon sharpness, the yeasty characteristics come back into the flavour, but it finishes nicely, with a touch of malt lingering. Decent UK BCA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - a very hoppy IPA, with a good lemony hit in the palate. Worth a second go, definitely! And, I’m back to the bar...
