2013-07-14. Hazy very pale pastel yellow body small frothy ring of a head. Aroma has an almost lambic like funky musty character to it. Flavour is interesting, sort of tart, fruity with sweet pear notes. Similar musty funky edges as in the aroma are super interesting. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Quite nice. Very interesting. On tap at Rhino Summer Beer Festival, Toronto

341 mL bottle. Pours a light pear juice color with a split second long white cap. On the nose is pear and musty funk reminiscent of olive brine. Fruity and thin bodied with a slightly tart, floral finish. Clean on the palate. Well made and tasty.

Bottle at ’The Rhino Summer Beer Festival 2013’. Pours a murky yellow-white with a spare diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma is surprisingly funky, and thats a good thing, with plenty of tart apples and almost a hint of cheese. Flavour is tart, fruity and dry, very nice. Medium bodied. Great stuff, I loved it.

Pale straw colored hazy pour. Very bright pear character. Some assertive spice/skin character. Soft tannic character and a little bit of acetone fruit character. Lovely actually - fruity and tart with a nice light funkiness.

The color is very pale, almost transparent. Very nice aroma, some pear, stewed pears and hazelnuts. The mouthfeel is acidic, a bit beyond expectations; fruity flavor, some apples, with a light presence of hazelnuts; tart finish.
Rough but interesting.

May 2, 2012 - on draught at Volo. Lightly bubbly very pale gold with no head (3?). Aroma is ... pear, alcohol, and strawberry shortcake. Taste - pear, raspberry with a kick of juniper and medium dry white generic table wine, slightly sour. Average body, nicely acidic, dry, too weakly carbonated, but feels great on the tongue, has a real tart cask character to it, and the best perry I have had not in England.

At Burger Bar. Slightly cloudy, very light yellow. Aroma: Lightly tart pear, a little sour, quite zesty as it warms up. Flavour: Nicely tart, quite fresh pear, delicate sweetness with a refreshing pear finish.
