3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at premiere tasting for Spisekroken Mikrobryggeri @ Klosteret Mat & Vinhus, Bergen. Deep red-amber body with a medium white head retention. Nose is caramel, toffee, syrup and hints of wood and red berries. Taste is caramel with hints of chocolate, hay and grains. Some sour-ish red berry tones in the back. OK. Palate is crisp and clean with a mellow mouthfeel carried by a soft carbonation. A pretty nice and not too sweet brew, very similar to how many Norwegian industrial brewers like to make their stronger Christmas beers.
