Tap at brewpub. Honey barley malt aroma with light astringency. Clear golden yellow color with large head. Sweet honey malt flavor - moderately bitter/astringent finish. Nice, drinkable Heller bock.

Comes as Spital Heller Bock. It’s hazy golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, alcohol, flower and a touch of honey. The flavor has sweetness and notes of flower, malt, light alcohol and honey/nectar. It’s warming and quite harmonic.

Slightly hazy straw colour. Great aroma - I didn’t know maibock could smell like this - fruity, fresh, loads of bread, herbal notes and light spice. Fantastically appetizing. Fresh, bready palate. Very approachable, with subtlety and style. Some spicy alcohol late. Good example.

Draft from brewery keller. Bright gold with slight haze and a small white cap. Aroma of fresh springtime herbs, grains, gardens. Lovely aroma. Soft, good, sturdy body. Nice sweetness in the finish. Goes through a lemon/orange stage and then rounds to a spritzy fun finish. Can taste a little alcohol too.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw and hints of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit - especially peaches, but also a light note of alcohol. Nice body.

MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 23, 2007
(33cl bottle) Almost clear, golden colour with a medium-sized lacing foamy white head. It smells like a fresh Helles: moderately sweet, slightly bready malt aroma with notes of citrus and herbal hops. Medium-sweet, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation, chalky mouthfeel. Bready malty taste; sweet and slightly bitter, chalky finish. Decent stuff.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Slightly hazy, pale golden with a white head. Distinct maltiness in the aroma. Rather full-bodied with a solid malt base and a very warming alcohol. 180907
