3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - SEP 23, 2007
(33cl bottle) Clear, amber colour with a mid-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet and fruity malt aroma, mildly toasted with citrus and a soft hoppy touch. Aromatic and slightly toasted malty and nutty taste with citrus and liquorice and caramel; malt-accented finish with a rounded bitterness and a slightly woody hop-character. My favourite Spital brew.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pivnizub (8000) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 29, 2007
Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Amber coloured, mid-sized fluffy head, that slowly collapses; caramelly and toasted malty nose with a good dash of herbal hops and a faint, faint tinge of vegetables; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; quite dense sweetish-caramelly finish with, again, a tinge of herbal hops in the aftertaste. Well drinkable, even though it is a bit on the sweet side........
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 8, 2005
Good, but receding brownish head; orange-brown clear beer, well-carbonated. Slightly bready, quite malty nose, developping herbal, parsley-like aroma’s. Fresh herbal, and soft-malty taste. Just as the pils, speaking of excellent balance. Some hints at good hops, but never overriding the general malty character. Rather well-bodied, yet refreshing. My wife remarked : "like a bolleke" - meaning the Antwerpener De Koninck ale, and this is indeed not unlike a Belgian Speciale - but brewed with bottom-fermenting and German hops. Good!, and big thanks to joss.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - FEB 21, 2005
Tap: Slightly musty lager nose - harmless. Nice pale gold color and low foamy head. Sweeter than bitter, but a respectable balance in the end.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 YogiBeera (2435) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JAN 3, 2005
On tap at the Berliner Bierfestival 04: Amber colored, spare head, nearly no carbonation. Nose was kind of hoppy but very weak. Sweet malt taste - actually too sweet and all in all stale.
