This is an interesting beer for a 2x IPA. Herbal aroma and brownish yellow appearance. The taste is really where this one differentiates. Hard to pin down the flavor--nutty, carmel, chocolate undertones. Odd for an IPA, but it blends well with the bitter aspects.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while watching game 7 hockey on a cold late May Saturday night. Appearance is a lightly ruby dark gold with a thin but frothy head. Aroma of sweet caramel, bitter, rich. Taste is rather sweet, bitter, thick, good stuff.

Bottle. The pour is a deep dark orange. The aroma is all hops. The taste is also full of hops, a little bitter throughout. Big beer for sure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from La Primera. Pours a hazy orangish amber with an orange head leaving some lace. Aroma has pine, citrus and caramel. More caramel down through the glass. Taste is of grapefruit and sweet caramel, with some tangy spicy pine and some resin. Medium bodied and lowly carbonated. Finishes to the sweet side of bittersweet with some alcohol. Perhaps this sat around a bit but this was much more caramelly than hoppy.
