This India dark ale, brewed with the guys at Breakroom Brewery, is made for the hard worker. It’s not for the guy who works around the office with an empty folder to make himself seem busy. Not for the guy who sits in the bathroom wondering how long he can go unnoticed. And not for the person who is ALWAYS in the lunchroom. This beer brewed with Amarillo hops will get you through the toughest of work days. Co crack open this beer and reevaluate your work ethic.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad, thanks to the Leightonator, 12/06/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a well appointed light tan covering. Nose is liqourice, spice, dark berry fruits, light roast, cocoa rub. Taste comprises Ribena berries, light roast, liqourice stick, earthy hop, red berry fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough CDA.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and crisp. Airy malts, mild dark character, some dark chocolate. Light spice and mild piney hops. Light dry finish. Not bad but wanted more from a big CDA.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to the Duke. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Toasty bread on the nose with some burnt toffee. Light to medium sweet flavor with light toasted peanuts, baking cocoa, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Burnt earth finish with notes of wood, baking cocoa, some dried citrus. Decent.

Bottle thanks to L-Dogg. It pours near black with a thick beige head. The nose is toasty, pine needles, soap, shreddies, orange peel and dark chocolate. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, toasty, ash, liquorice, citrus peel, jammy berry, blackcurrant and cocoa with a bitter, roasty finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice balance and high drinkability. Very good.

Bomber with Zach and Brandon on the patio, tasted blindly. Guess was a black IPA. Pours a dark flat black color with no appreciable head, Nose is citrus and deep resin. Taste is citrus and hoppy, quite pleasant and delicious. Finish is bittersweet and alarmingly pleasing. Via Archer Liquors. One great consistently microbrewery. Mighty Spitey ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

Another great name and bottle from Spiteful. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of hops and chocolate. Taste is delicious, nice hoppy, citrusy, grapefruit notes with balancing sweet chocolate and roasted malt leading to a dry, bitter finish. Great black IPA

Bottle. Poured black color with a large frothy brown head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex toasted malt, resin and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Bomber to taster (shared by Tmoney99). Looks good; a fairly opaque dark brownish black with foamy beige head. Smells solid; bitter hops, dark malt, dark chocolate, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a pleasant mouthfeel. Good stuff!

22oz bottle, thanks to tmoney99 for sharing. Near black color, good thin brown head. Dots of lace. Nice light smokiness, good spicy earthy hop, some good roasty hop. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, light to moderate sweet. Nice balance of black and IPA on this one. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of chewy, lighter carbonation. Lightly soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Super nice black IPA. Great balance to this. Great long roasty kind of smokey dark chocolatey aftertaste, with earthy bitter hop flavor. Great black IPA. What I’m looking for.
