Don’t fight it, SPITE IT! Our God Damn Pigeon Porter was brewed with our friends from across the pind in mind. We use traditional Englush Amber malt, but being the unruly Americans we are, we put our own happy twist on things. One of our favorite hops, Simcoe was added late in the boil. This delightful Porter will take your mind off the everyday nuisances of living in a big city, especially those f-ing pigeons!

Can from random store. Poured dark brown with tan head. Roasty dark malt aroma grainy. Light carb med bod. Tastes similar to aroma. Not too bitter and smooth.

16oz can. I liked it way better fresh, but here goes the current..Opaque black-brown body. Massive, suspiciously large beige head. Oily, roasty, mild latent infection perhaps. Really not that enjoyable or good. Unimpressive, overbearing, no finesse.

16 oz can at Pinsky’s, 6/26/15. Dark brown pour with a small froth of beige head and mid-plus lace. The aroma is strongly roasted malts and coffee. The flavor is the same. Smooth and creamy. Finishes with a nice, roasty and slightly dry feel. Pretty good stuff for sure.

16oz can. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, grain, and hops. Taste is of bitter chocolate, grain, and toasty malt. Has a slight hop character to it as well. Finish is very dry, with lots of grain. Mouthfeel is sticky, but not overly heavy. Body is medium, and very carbonated. As it warms up, more of the hop character starts to come through. Drinks easy, and it tastes good.

Can. Pitch black pour with some tan head....a lot of it. What a great beer. Heavy on the coffee, at least I though, considering it’s not a coffee beer. Mostly sweet but with a little bitterness, almost like a piece of dark chocolate...some bitter but just a nice balance. Great beer.

650 ml bottle, purchased at Liquor Warehouse, downtown Chicago. Pitch black color with light tan head. Rich dark malt aroma of chocolate, coca powder, hints of vanilla.

Flavor is good balance of roasted chocolate flavors with a mild piney hop kick in the backend. Deep roasted grain body giving medium in feel, light creaminess on the tongue. Simcoe or Cascade hop pine toward the back end of the sip, hop presence is large. Very well constructed Porter... I enjoyed this a lot.

16 ounce can courtesy of AWISLGuy. Thanks! Pours a clear dark brown with a large foamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of intense coffee notes, roast, bitter chocolate, green hops. The taste is big chewy roasted malts, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, caramel, bitter hops. Medium bodied, creamy texture, excellent balance, moderate lingering bitterness. Exceptional porter.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed while listening to some records after a long work week. Appearance is pitch block, moderate consistency with a huge tan head that laces to the glass. Aroma is rich in chocolate and bitter hops, smell is rather dry but potent with a light smoke. Taste is pretty fantastic, huge hazelnut notes mixed with rich chocolate makes it taste nutella-like, comes off as much sweeter than I thought it would. It makes for a nice after work treat. Really enjoying this one a whole lot.

Hoppy bold tasting porter. Very good for the style. Drinkable, and tasty. Above average mouthfeel. Black with lasting head.

Bomber. Pours a dark black pour with a small head. Nose is roasted coffee, malt and chocolate. Taste is loaded with sweet chocolate followed by a bitter coffee flavor, God Damn good. Finish is dry and sweet, with a hoppy moderately long finish. Quaff Score 8 / 10
