3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ Mikkeller Bar. This is a deep dark brown one and it has a small kinda sidesticking brown head. It’s quite roasted on the nose. I get a grainy chocolate cereal thingy and notes of both cow dung and traces of paint. Smells nice. Nice chocolaty flavors. Chocolate pudding! Lots of grains here also. It’s lovely carbonated and it has a good oily mouthfeel. The roastiness from the aroma is also present in the taste here. A well roasted one without being burned. Some sweetness is also making an appearance in the finish, and that’s quite welcoming to be honest. A nice one! 02.05.2013

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from trade with dfonorow. Pours pitch black with a small foamy head that quickly fades, leaves some oily webbing. Aroma has lots of dark roast, burnt wood, and coffee with lots of hops too. Taste is big fresh roasted coffee, yum. Very light chocolate, some ash. Great balance of sweetness and bitterness. Lots of floral and grassy hops come in the finish too. Medium body, light oil and chalk in the mouthfeel. Overall, this is good stuff. Seems very hoppy, even for an imperial stout. Could almost be a Black IPA.

Bomber to snifter (thanks Beerpig317). Looks good; a dull and fairly opaque. Dark cola with beige lacing. Smells solid; dark malt, roast, and chocolate. Tastes like it smells with a bit of sweetness of the finish and a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good beer.

Nice imperial stout, getting alot of rye in this one. Huge roasted tones. Sticky mouthfeel. Quite good considering the state of my wellbeing when this was rated at Mikkeller after CBC
