Bottle. Jet black with a khaki head. Citrus hops and burlap, smoke and chocolate roasty aromas. Flavor is similar but brings in some figs, smokey, toast and chocolate, medium to heavier velvety body.

Pours thick dark murky brownish black with some yeast sediment for sure. Aroma is delicious bringing smoky coffee, rich dark roasted liqueur-like malts, and dark chocolate brownie. Flavor is rich as well, but not as clean as the aroma, bringing roasted chocolate malts big on the palate settling with some sweet malts of the same flavor.

Bomber via Archer Liquors , Chicago Illinois, pours a dark black pour with a nice java head. Nose is malt, chocolate, black licorice and some , mild alcohol. Taste is bitter sweet chocolate, coffee, espresso and malty. Finish is dry and sweet with a mild lingering. Another winner from Spiteful, gotta love Mister Bear ( on the bottle ), would love to put the bottle in front of a few faces. Take that . Quaff Score 8 / 10

Love the bottle. Pours black with a brown head and strong aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and liquorice. Taste is burnt, nice deep chocolate, roasted malt, liquorice, and alcohol with a warming, burnt finish. Delicious stout

22 oz. bottle. It pours a dark brown/black color with a brown head. The aroma is nice with chocolate fudge, graham cracker, light notes of coffee and nuts. The flavor is thick and creamy with huge dirty roasted malt and dark chocolate, some graham cracker before an ashy finish. Pretty sweet and full bodied, and serves as a nice sipper for an evening. Seems stronger than 8%. Pretty good stuff.

Ridiculously deep dark brown coloured body with a large, four centimetre tall deep brown head. A touch of violet gets through at the bottom and is about 90% opaque. Aroma of strong roasted malt, raisins, figs, prunes, vanilla, coffee and chocolate - nice aromas. Medium to Full-bodied; Dense roasted malt flavours with vanilla and oak the strongest tastes, coupled with some milk and brown sugar and finishing with molasses - this is quite strong. Aftertaste is perhaps a bit of a downer with some offensive bitterness from earthy malt, chocolate and a hint of yeast noticeable. Overall, a decent stout, on the border of an imperial stout and also a sweet stout - not great, but nice to sample, especially since this isnít a common beer for me to see. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Binnyís (South Loop) in Chicago, Illinois on 21-August-2013 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 09-January-2014. Batch #20

22 oz. bottle from Binnyís, Lincoln Park, Chicago. Batch number 70 hand written on the side of label. Black pour with nice tan head on a slow pour into my Bourbon County Snifter. Lasting head retention. Nose is extremely roasty. Coffee, campfire ash and barley. This stout is balanced nice with long lasting dry roast and bitter pine hops. Bitter sweet chocolate and charred barley upfront with whole pine cones with a light citrus nuance. Iím wondering if they used Simcoe or Cascade hops? No matter what type of hop was used, it works well with this stout. Finely crafted and I really enjoyed it! Canít wait to sample the other imperial stout I have from this brewer.

22oz bottle pours an inky black with some creamy, beige head. Nose has toast, coffee, rubber, cherry, a little plastic. Flavor is better, sweet, chocolate, coffee, roast, toast, pencil lead, a little glue. Heavy finish.
