Don’t fight it, SPITE IT! Our God Damn Pigeon Porter was brewed with our friends from across the pind in mind. We use traditional Englush Amber malt, but being the unruly Americans we are, we put our own happy twist on things. One of our favorite hops, Simcoe was added late in the boil. This delightful Porter will take your mind off the everyday nuisances of living in a big city, especially those f-ing pigeons!

Black with thick, creamy, beige head. Aroma has roasted malt, coffee, hops and chocolate. Alcohol later on. Flavour is similar, the chocolate dominates. Good roasted bitterness, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Good.

Can. Black with a medium sized light brown head with good retention. Hoppy nose; citrus, pine. Roasted malt, chocolate, chalk. Flavour is also hoppy with the malts in the back. Citrus, flowers, chalk, dark chocolate, grain, roasted malt. Full body, oily texture, fine carbonation, medium sweet and bitter with light alcohol on the gums. Solid hoppy porter/black IPA stuff.

16oz can. I liked it way better fresh, but here goes the current..Opaque black-brown body. Massive, suspiciously large beige head. Oily, roasty, mild latent infection perhaps. Really not that enjoyable or good. Unimpressive, overbearing, no finesse.

16 oz can at Pinsky’s, 6/26/15. Dark brown pour with a small froth of beige head and mid-plus lace. The aroma is strongly roasted malts and coffee. The flavor is the same. Smooth and creamy. Finishes with a nice, roasty and slightly dry feel. Pretty good stuff for sure.

16oz can. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, grain, and hops. Taste is of bitter chocolate, grain, and toasty malt. Has a slight hop character to it as well. Finish is very dry, with lots of grain. Mouthfeel is sticky, but not overly heavy. Body is medium, and very carbonated. As it warms up, more of the hop character starts to come through. Drinks easy, and it tastes good.

Can. Pitch black pour with some tan head....a lot of it. What a great beer. Heavy on the coffee, at least I though, considering it’s not a coffee beer. Mostly sweet but with a little bitterness, almost like a piece of dark chocolate...some bitter but just a nice balance. Great beer.
