Bomber. Pours a deep (almost jet) blackish-brown, opaque and thick, head looks like it should be on top of an espresso, okay retention, not much lacing. Nose is a lotta coffee, baking chocolate, leather, smells chewy if that makes any sense. Mouth is full bodied and roasty, a lot of sootiness up front, kinda clinging to the thickness of the dark roast, stick to your tongue like red-eye gravy (hmm... I just had an idea...), more of the chocolate from the nose, some raisins, kinda drier than I expected but a bitter-sweetness at the finish. A nice stout, and I don’t even hate my boss.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Strong, delicious coffee aroma. Bitterness seems to come completely from the coffee, otherwise sweeter chocolate mouthfeel. Solid offering especially if you like coffee in yiur coffee stout.

Bottle and served in tulip: Pours a deep brown that is nearly opaque with a creamy but fading head, disappointing lace I must say... but not disappointed with the aroma! Pure Mocha Java and grassy hops, spot on for the genre as far as the nose goes. Bakers chocolate, moderate earthiness (leather, tobacco, mineral water, wood), herbal and even a touch minty. NOM NOM!
The taste of course can not match the nose but is solid and to the point as well, coffee and classic bitterness versus the malt profile then add an earthy element and you get a classic coffee stout. Could use a bit more body or silkyness but alas that is a de facto issue with most of this genre. I could drink much more of this and be happy for sure.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with dark tan head. Nose is of strong coffee and mocha. Taste is the same with malty chocolate. Its a bit lighter on the tongue with some slight bitterness. Double checking the abv on this its pretty solid for something at that range. Pretty true to style. Another solid brew from these guys.
