1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - DEC 31, 2006
(Sample #2 [bottled] at the first Biertest-Online Gathering, Düsseldorf, 29.12.06) Clear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Slack and sweet malty, corny nose. Light-sweet, metallic flavour, slim bodied but has a crispy carbonation. Malty, corny taste, typical pale lager character; very light herbal notes towards the slim finish.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 IslandHaole (1053) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - DEC 31, 2006
Green bottle from Italy to Japan = Skunk!
Yikes, smells like my wetsuit after a 2-hour dive. Has the typical pale gold color one expects from a pale lager. Flavor is corny, slightly sweet with at least some bitterness at the end. Reminds me of the S.E. Asian lagers, bland, mediocre at best.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Slayer85 (862) - Firenze, ITALY - DEC 11, 2006
UPDATED: APR 16, 2007 A blonde beer, with a white and not persistent foam. Flavours are principally malty, but however hop presence is detectable. Thin, watery, industrial, weak, but not so much as many Italian beers of the same style.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 SHIG (2530) - Osan, SOUTH KOREA - OCT 20, 2006
Golden amber with fast dissapating white head. Sour grassy spice aroma. Sour grainy dry spice flavor and finish.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 auderale (591) - Bitburg, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2006
Golden colored pour with medium sized head. Lot of carbonation. Spicy aroma with a dry finish to it. Not real good.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 TheBeerOrg (1977) - Crestwood, Kentucky, USA - AUG 19, 2006
Pours yellow with a fully receding white head. Aroma of cooked veggies, corn, bready malt, and grassy hops. Taste is adjuncts, corn, maltiness, and clean lager yeast but many nasty adjuncts. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with a lively, spritzy carbonation. Typical for an industrial lager, not the worst.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 KnutAlbert (4377) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 8, 2006
Canned. A pale, thin and watery lager. A little hoppy finish, so at least it is not stickingly sweet!
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 mabjork (652) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2006
Canned. Pale yellow in colour. Minor white head. It has a harsh metallic scent. The flavour is watery with malt but still it is quite strange. It has a sparkling carbonation and a sweet aftertaste. Thanks to "Dorqui" for this one.
