COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We started with a Trappist Triple yeast culture and carefully blended Belgian pale barley malt with traditional malted wheat and oats to produce a delectable golden ale. This special brew is aged 12 weeks creating a fruity nad refined taste with a huge bouqet, light body, and a very smooth, non-bitter finish. Best served at 55 degrees F.

12oz bottle. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin, kind of bubbly off-white head. Fades to minimal. No lace sticks. Bigger body. Crisp, kind of smooth lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Good, banana flavor. Little vanilla. Light spice. Some orange citrus. Moderate sweet taste (lightly zesty), lighter bitter. Light alcohol bite in the finish, but it’s not bothersome. Doesn’t excel in any way, but still an enjoyable, tasty, reasonably easy to drink American tripel.

16oz bottle from the brewery poured into my New Holland pseudo-tulip (really! New Holland can’t even do a tulip right - it is about a 10oz pour, and might be 8oz) from our trip for the Sprecher beer&cheese tasting, cellar aged 2 years. Pours a golden orange, slightly hazy, with a lot of veryfine bubbles leaving a small white head. Aroma has bananas foster (banana and caramel), cloves and sweet malt. Some belgian yeasty-ness shows later in the glass. Taste is of sweet maltiness, bananas and other sweet fruits with some spiciness. Light to medium bodied and sticky. Finishes sweet and somewhat thick. Became progressively sweeter and flatter throughout the glass. Shrug? It is Sprecher, but perhaps the overlong aging adjusted the balance too.

Hazy medium orange amber. Thin quickly dissipating fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, wheat, Belgian yeast, some spices. Full bodied, a little carbo and yet sort of syrupy. and flat. Very sweet, yeasty, plenty of spice. Just not quite right. Ive had it a few months, maybe the bottle is a bit old?

12 ounce, twist-off bottle - $2.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Appearance: Pours a hazed, darkened gold body. Not appreciable head forms on pouring, and, what little is there, evaporates almost at once.

Smell: Clove buds marinated in alcohol, faintly bready pils malts, splash of honey wine, stone fruits, tropical fruits, and basic chewing gum.

Taste: Lightly bready malts, some balmy, grainy pils malts. Subtle sweetness. Early-arriving pinch of cloves and pepper. Fruitiness, most notably banana, pear and peach. Moderate bubblegum character. Noted alcohol though not overbearing. Drying on the back half with a turn towards a more tropical fruitiness. Alcohol definitely ramps up at the finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Not bad, but a little middle-of-the-road for me.

Bottle. Nice aroma. Disappointing taste. A buttered taste if you will. Close but no cigar IMO. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Better on tap than in a bottle. Decent flavor of fruits and a hint of caramel, but not the most complex in this style. Easy to drink and enjoyable!

Pours cloudy amber, hoppy citrus nose, not bad. Probably wont have again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
