bottle. Hazy pale golden with small head. Very sweet with some booze. Some belgian yeastiness, but everything is just overwhelmed by the sweetness. Unbalanced.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours medium gold with no head to speak of. Smells of vanilla, cloves, orange peel, and cinnamon. Sweet throughout with flavors of fruitcake, brown sugar, and a hint of pear. Slightly hopped finish, but far from dry. A solid if not outstanding Belgian style beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 12 oz bottle poured in a tulip. Extremely sweet candy aroma. Sweet light bubblegum flavor with yeast and wheat flavor. More of a sweet wheat ale than a true triple. Clean slightly yeasty finish. Does hide its ABV very well. Not awful but I probably won’t buy again.

On tap @ the Über Tap Room in the Wisconsin Cheese Shop, Milwaukee. Light amber or deep gold depending on how you choose to look at it. Lots of esters here, some banana, some marzipan, lightly spicy. Not bad.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. (Jungle Jim’s) Fairfield, OH.
Clear golden colour with a tiny white head.
Belgian style yeast, sweet malt and mild hops in the aroma.
Hoppy bitterness, yeast and malty sweetness in the flavour.
Quite balanced but not that tasty for a Belgian style brew.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin, kind of bubbly off-white head. Fades to minimal. No lace sticks. Bigger body. Crisp, kind of smooth lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Good, banana flavor. Little vanilla. Light spice. Some orange citrus. Moderate sweet taste (lightly zesty), lighter bitter. Light alcohol bite in the finish, but it’s not bothersome. Doesn’t excel in any way, but still an enjoyable, tasty, reasonably easy to drink American tripel.
