2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BVery (1976) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - OCT 31, 2011
Bottle from Sprecher’s brewery gift shop in Glendale, WI. Pale gold/yellow pour with a medium white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is grain and apple. Light palate with a fair amount of carbonation. Taste is pretty much just malt/grain, very little else. Not offensive, but not interesting. Worlds better than the macro pale lagers, but also worlds away from a high-quality brew.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 esjaygee (2496) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 18, 2011
Straw yellow with a large white head. Aroma of apple, sweet malt and grains. Taste of fruit, grains, caramel, apple, corn with a clean finish. Mild and okay for the style.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20 crossovert (2547) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2011
Smells pickly, the taste is light and lifeless, just like a macro light beer, they need to try harder.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 dekester1 (193) - Neenah, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 10, 2010
Poured a light gold with a decent head that faded to modest lace. Aroma was of hay and malts - not great, but not terrible either. Taste starts off with malts and then transfers to beans, of all things, hay and mild hops. Mouthfeel is decent. Overall, I was a bit disappointed in this light from Sprecher. You’re better off going for one of Sprecher’s full-bodied brews.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2010
Bottle. Light gold pour with a small white head. Nose of grainy malts. Flavor is lightly sweet with some faint fruit and malt notes. Minimal hop presence. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes a bit sweet and mildly crisp. Nothing special. Can there be a good light craft beer?
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 arkurzynski (721) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 27, 2009
Pours pale yellow with thin head. Aroma of mild esters and light hopping. Virtually no malt character or flavor in general. Blah. Would rather have a domestic light lager instead.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 drowland (3570) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2009
Had on tap at the brewpub after a tour of the place. Better than your average American macro, I guess, but far from special.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rciesla (5500) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2009
Bottle. Pours a copper body with a fizzy white head. Toasted malt, Hints of dried fruit and raisin like aroma. Almost a light candy bubblegum aroma. Flavor is a bit gummy with cereal notes, best when served rather cold. Hints of fruit and a note of soap i could do without. Not bad, i thought it might be a drain pour for a buck seventy five.
