COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout has been complemented by a generous bourbon flavor after aging five extra weeks in white oak bourbon barrels. Already saturated with dark roasted malt flavor, bourbon and oak highlights perfect the balance in this enormously rich ale.

bought this in asheville if my memory isnít to far gone from all the glue i sniff .. . very black .. bourbon, tar, oil, and sweet burnt g.i joes .. . the mouth is a but of a let down, especially with the boozy feel .. . still good though .. . . A car with a car rack looked like a police car, so I slowed down, only to realize I had been tricked into obeying the law FOR NO REASON.

Aroma of bourbon, malt and coffee. Pours a dark brown clear with no head. Creamy feel, taste of coffee, malt and bourbon with a light phenolic finish.

RBSG 07. A huge chocolate aroma from this beer. A jet black pour with little to no head. A flavor of chocolate, bourbon, and a hint of abv. Very good carbonation and mouthfeel. Nice warmth without being to warm.

The color is a deep black with a tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, and dark fruit greet the nose. Flavor is dominated by a roasted coffee taste and a bourbon background.

Courtesy boboski. Very deep, dask brownish-black color. Aroma is dried cherries, treacle, a touch of vanilla and oak, slight chocolate and alcohol. Bourbon aroma is very evident. Mouthfell is almowst chewy, very big beer. Moderately roasted and bitter, the bourbon blast is very evident, not a bashful beer.

750ml bottle. Pours a dark black with a fleeting but billowy coffee-colored head. Aroma is sweet and full with notes of molasses, brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, and a subtle alcoholic bite. Taste is medium bodied and smooth with a bold chocolate and roasted malt flavor opening up into a crisper finish thatís part brown liquor and part hoppy citrus. Not as overwhelmingly boozy as other bourbon barrel brews, but also not quite as full or complex.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a small tan head. Coffee, bourbon, chocolate, oak aroma. Chocolate, bourbon, brown sugar, oak flavors that arenít as complex as Iíd like to see, though still good. Medium body and would like to see a bit fuller. LIngering bourbon, coffee, molasses with a bit of citrus malt. Decent, but want more out of it.

1 L bottle. Pours black with a big cascading tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, smoke, bourbon, leather, oak, and caramel. A shockingly thinnish mouthfeel for an Imperial. Taste is nice; good bittersweet chocolate and coffee flavors with a strong, but not overwhelming bourbon sourness. Some vanilla, caramel, oak, and earthy flavors that pop out at different times. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer.

Pours deep black with brown head, big bourbon nose with some chocolate notes. Taste up front is big bourbon, leading into some chocolate and coffee notes that finishes sweet. Not a bad BBL RIS, but a bit overkill on the bourbon flavor.
