COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
True in flavor to the traditionally spelled Dunkel Weizen, this medium-bodied dark wheat ale has characteristic roasted malt flavors balanced by light hops, mild carbonation, hints of spice and fruit.

Pours a dark amber with a creamy tan head. Nose is malty. Very creamy and good effervescence. Taste is malt forward, some caramel notes, with a well balanced hop presence on finish.Good tasting beer. Pairs well with chips or pretzels.

A gift from a friend out of the Beer of The Month pack. Bottle poured amber brown with thin tan head. Nose of wheat malts. Some light fruit. Medium body. Flavor runs to malts with a bit of spice which carries over to the finish. Decent.

Pours clear light brownish amber. Medium creamy white head. Aroma finds wheat, caramel, toffee, toasty. Flavor follows. Full body, but at the same time a bit thin too. Soft and creamy. Finish is fairly dry, nutty toasty. Little earthy. Sorta bland.

Pour is a brown with a large tan head. Aroma is some sweet bubblegum and dough. Flavor is some wheat malt and thatís about it. An odd plastic comes out and doesnít go away. Finish is thin and watery. This is no way a good dunkle weizen, more like someoneís first attempt at home brew. Iíve had a few Sprecher beers and they were decent but this was a poor attempt.

Bottle. Pours a dull hazed golden amber, with an off white head. Muted sweet malts, wheat, spicy weizen yeasty notes, and a relatively dry finish. Not awful, but falls a little flat based on my expectations for this brewery.

Pours an amber and hazy brown. Bottle thanks to Raith. Thin off white head. Flavor is caramel and slightly sweet. Some old cardboard also in there. Medium bodied. Drinkable but not great.

Also from Village bottle shop. Amber color, very slightly cloudy, nice sweet sour taste with a hint of Belgian Yewasts

Draft at Old Fashioned. Thick, opaque burgundy brown, with a steady off-white head. Malty and rich, maybe a tad thicker than medium bodied. Some mild banana yeast tones under the smooth dark malts. Mellow and fairly enjoyable, this still canít touch a good German example. Still a decent enough beer from Sprecher, no off flavors.

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of wheat, carmel and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, carmel and light spice with a crisp lingering carmel finish.
