Commercial Description:
This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a soft, white head. Citrus notes all over the nose. Taste continues with lemon and then some spice. Banana essence is limited to a back seat. Creamy and quenching, but too much citrus to be a really good hefeweizen. None the less, it was enjoyable.

The aroma of this beer had the normal smells of bananas, cloves and fruit that are associtate with wheat ale, I also got a hint of BBQ in the background. Taste is mild but with a spicy underatement, a touch of mint. Fruit and tang accompany. Good malts. very tasty.

The aroma is sweet with wheat malt, bananas, and cloves. The appearance is a cloudy gold with a small head. The flavor is a little sour and much like the aroma with the addition of spice and some vanilla in the aftertaste. The palate is typical for the style. I like this beer in most respects however the flavor is a little more acidic than I like a Hefe but overall it’s still very good.

Bottled. Poured a hazy pale golden with a pillowy cap of white head. Nose was heavily yeasty with bananas, cloves, citrus fruits, and spicy malts. Light, smooth, and refreshing on the palate, with quite a bit of sweetness in the middle. Flavors were much like the nose... banana and clove spiciness across the front with pineapple and orange coming through at the middle. Spicy malts and banana carry through the finish with some extra sweetness. Solid for the style and certainly refreshing.

16 oz. bottle, from BevMo La Jolla. Pours a hazy, golden color with a moderate white head. Aroma of lemon, yeast, a bit of spice and floral hops. Sweet and tart flavor, lemon, bread, orange juice, a hint of honey and grass, flavorful but unbalanced. Lifht to medium body, good carbonation.

Pours a light hazy yellow with pillowy white head. Aroma is rich with banana, cloves and mellow sweetness. Taste the banana and cloves of the aroma, light citrus & nice carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. This is a nice hefe worth trying. Easy drinking and very true to the style. While not the best, definitely worth having at least one... or more.
