Commercial Description:
This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Ultra deep hazed gold, fluffy white head. Your standard hefe nose of citrus, clove, banana, fresh bread, with an underlying bubblegum tone. Taste was quite wheaty with spices, citrus, and bubblegum dominating throughout. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, light, airy, drying wheat finish. Good brew for a hot summer day....

Sprecher, makers of one of the best root beers around, does a good job with its wheat alehefeweizen. A bit more bitter than some others, this still sports a fruity flavor and a pancake taste. Light enough for the whole family to enjoy, and what can I say, I still think a 16oz bottle is pretty novel.

Had this one on draught in Milwaukee. Nose of cloves and banana, cloudy orange color, thin nose, taste of orange and spice. Pretty good.

It’s almost a tad Belgian in its flavor. I can’t quite pin it down, but it’s surprisingly bitter for a hefe. I do not think the flavor is dead on for the style at all. Quite a bit of spice. One of the hoppiest German Hefes I’ve ever had. If you like the sound of that combo, this is for you!

Little to no head, poured a murky yellow. At first I was worried that not having a lemon at hand would hamper my enjoyment of this hefe. But I don’t think a lemon would have helped it. Flat and funny tasting.

Very cloudy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma has lots of clove and some banana hints. Flavor is dead-on for the style: yeast and clove with hints of banana. Refreshing but not light and wimpy.

Pretty, pretty stuff. Brilliant orange-gold, opaque and shimmering, nice, fluffy head. Nose crisp, lots of banana and clove. Flavor is very fruity, citrus and banana, spicy and yeasty. Palate very full. Nice stuff.

Hazy golden /orange color, lots of yeasties, moderate head with good lacing and a fresh and citrusy clove aroma. Light to medium bodied, lemon, orange and clove flavors with a mild lingering banana sweetness in the finish. Quite flavorful and made the Erdinger Weiss I sampled with it seem a little washed out. One from their excellent variety pack.
