Commercial Description:
This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Backlog Night! Pours a hazy yellow with a fluffy white head that does go away fairly quickly. There is a nice bubbliness to this one. The aroma is doughy and mildly skunky, there is a little fruitiness and some banana in the nose as well. The Favor is nicely fruity yeast and fairly sweet at first with a dry finish. The spiciness is fairly muted in general. This is a bit watery, but I can imagine that I would really like this very fresh from the brewery... maybe. Who knows?

bottle - Pours hazy dark yellow with a thin dissipating head. The aroma is of citrusy yeast, wheat malt, and some good spice. I really like it. If only the taste were as substantial as the aroma. It’s sweet and citrus accented, but also bland and watery. Warming helps some of course, but not enough.

Sampled on tap at the sprecher tour (glendale, wi). Pours a light glowing straw hue, cloudy. With subtle orange and gold notes and minimal whitish head. Aromas are light banana and clove with some nice wheaty flaked notes. A good start. Initial is light on the palate with some nice subtle lemon, light banana ester, light clove, and some nice wheaty malt graininess that fits on the end of the palate. Lemon is the theme, a little underwhelming taste wise, but highly sessionable. Light bitterness. Decent.

cloudy blond color and light to moderate carbonation. slight hint of clove, a little grapefruit citrus. Overall medium light flavor and light hoppiness. generally ok, maybe a good summer but the clovey sweetness is not my thing.

Sweet and spicy - this one has maybe a touch too much malt in it - something that seems to be a characteristic of most Sprecher beers. Lots of sweet banana and some citrus.

Aroma of Yeast and Cloves... Pours a hazy dark golden color.... Taste is a bit creamy, quite yeasty, a hint of banana and clove... Finishes a bit thin...

500ml bottle. Cloudy bronze-orange color with a decent foamy head...looks official. Classic hefe-yeast aroma on the clovy side. The taste is creamy and enjoyable, with a smooth sweet banana aftertaste. Spicy and crisp hop balance in the initial mouthfeel. An above par American-Hefe.

16oz bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally bright golden color with a one finger white head that settles quickly leaving some lacing of the glass. Aroma is bready and yeasty with some sweet honey and caramel notes, hay, grass, and some faint spice and flowers. Flavor is similar with predominately bread, yeast, banana, and citrus notes. Just a hint of tanginess on finish. Generally light to medium body. Nice ale.
