COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Poured a medium white head that was quick dissolving with fine-small bubbles. No lacing with this brew. There was a lot of yeast observed. It had a cloudy yellow body. The aroma was that of clove. This was a watery and thin German Wheat brew and it lacked character.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2003 This brew pours a medium head of fine to large white bubbles and a slightly cloudy straw yellow body. It has banana clove aroma and a smooth initial flavor rush of banana and apricot. It finishes with a slight tingling mouth feel. The buttery notes of a Hefe-Weiss are just barely present. It is just an average at best Hefe-Weiss.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2003 Poured out of bottle, bought at Binny's liquor store in Chicago, 4/15/03. Murky wheat beer with a head that fizzles and fades like you wish the flavor would. The flavor holds a mildly unpleasant citrus undertaste, which doesn't do much in the way of opening or unfolding to anything new. It just sits there, and it's not that great to begin with. Mediocre wheat beer, below average Sprecher (try the Black Bavarian, Mai Bock or Imperial Stout for much better results).

Hazy honey color with a quickly diminishing head. Aromatic, mainly wheat with some cloves and citrus. Flavor does not match aroma. Mildly acidic.

Decent color and a generous head start this one. The aroma is nice, but not as wheaty or pleasant as some really good wheats. Flavor seems a little weak/watery, though not unpleasant. Still, only an average wheat, at best.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2005 The pour was nice into a tall pilsner glass and had a nice head on top that did not last long. The aroma was forward of the wheat (Sprecher says they use pale & Belgian wheat grains.) I did not feel that the appearance was as cloudy as many wheat beers-or maybe I just expected it to be very cloudy according to the label. I really enjoyed the taste of this beer. It had that straight forward wheat taste with a slightly fruity taste.

Good fruits but not enough solid body behind this beer. I like the estery flavors but need more spice. Missing that full mouthfeel and robust body from German wheats.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2004 pale yellow, cloudy body, but I want more yeast!! Citrucy and fruity, nice and refreshing yeasty aroma. Real sticky, tastes like a syrupy hoegaarden with some hints of spices or cloves. Mannes says: "good beer" I say, not too bad, i suppose.

Cloudy golden with minimal head. Aroma is straight american wheat aroma, sweetish with light hops. No detectable clove/banana. Flavor shows a fair bit of clove. Not assertive in any way.

Lightly cloudy golden colored with a fizzy head. The flavor is very subdued, but there is a lot of clove in the aftertaste and a touch of citrus too. This could be a little more balanced and daring. Not one of Sprecher’s best.
