Clouded yellow pour with an off-white head. Aroma is wheat and a touch of clove as is the taste. A little sweet. An ok tasting beer.

Very nice hefe with some clove and banana in the flavor, balanced nicely with the malts and some slight citrusy hops, Refreshing and clean.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2014 Cloudy light golden with medium frothy white head which mostly dissipates leaving a small topping.. Aroma is sweet, almost ’sugary’ wheat (unless Im somehow misreading the banana?), some spice, touch of citrus. Flavor is much the same. Medium to light body. A little thin. Fairly creamy, just a bit of dryness in the finish. Good beer but doesn’t match the big boys across the way.

Aroma of lemon with a straw golden pour. Hazy straw dominates the aroma and sweet taste is complimented by a crisp easy finish. Overall a great summer happy hour beer

16oz twist-off bottle from Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield. Code on the bottle reads "000063913 123191542". Poured into my weizen glass. Mildly hazy golden-yellow color. Thin white head. Few splotches of lace. Lightly wheaty nose, with a hint of banana and spice. Medium body. Softer, kind of smooth carbonation, but the texture has a slight roughness to it. More dry in the finish. Some light banana, wheat, little spice, light vanilla aroma. Light to moderate sweet taste, kind of spicy. Solid hefeweizen over all. Good to enjoy with lunch, especially with the 16oz serving size

Not a dazzling beer, but thirst quinching all the same. The nose is where this beer lost most of its points for me. However, worth trying.

A good solid Hefeweizen to enjoy at the Sprecher Pub, totally stylistically correct, but not excpetional. Like it on tap out on the patio, but not something I would get elsewhere.

Pours a slightly cloudy yellow color with a medium fluffy white head that evaporates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light body with flavors of banana, sweet spice and a bit of grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a short fruity aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

Picked up a few bottles after a tour of the brewery. This might be the best offering from Sprecher. A very good Hefe Weiss, that is creamy, with hints of clove, banana and citrus. A nice plus is 16 oz bottle.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass, and was not prepared for the extra four ounces, so I took my first few sips before I was ready. Cloudy, and light yellow, the pour produced little to no head (though to be fair, the beer was cold.) The aroma of this weisse is in keeping with the style, with strong notes of citrus and banana. The carbonation is good and not overbearing. Taste-wise, Sprecher has produced a bitter beer with medium sourness, with a medium body. There is a slight spiciness that can be tasted on the back end of the brew, which lends some complexity, though a strong metallic taste at the forefront diminishes the experience.
