This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Tasted on tap at Sprecher’s Restaurant & Pub and I only had my mobile app and did not enter comments.

Bottle, BOTM club. Pours murky amber with a white foam ring. Bubblegum, ripe fruit aroma. Really spicy and a little too bitter for hefe. Medium-to-full body, thick texture, yeasty aftertaste. Didn’t really like it.

A slightly cloudy yellow body with a nice white head that had nice retention and good lacing. A strong spice note on the aroma and although aroma was pretty strong there was an off-putting aroma to it. Somewhat dirty! Flavor had some nice citrus notes to it, but they did seem to overshadow the wheat notes. A nice mouth feel, but I could not get over the aroma.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Cloudy golden color with a nice white fluffy head. Distinct clove aroma with fresh peaches and bananas and slight citrus. Sweet fruity taste (nectarine) with refreshing wheat tang, light tartness and low bitterness. Medium bodied, quenching, some creaminess and quite pleasing. decent hefe.

Bottle in 47B courtesy of Andy. Pours a semi opaque dark apple juice color. Aroma is a little lemony and grassy; same goes for the palate, some sweet grassy and fruity flavors but not a lot of yeast or zest which is what I like in a hefe. Easy drinking, pretty good taste, but I wouldn’t seek it out again when looking for a hefe.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Cloudy yellowish orange with a medium white head. Spicy estery aroma with clove, some banana, some vanilla, citric hints and bready notes. Fruity wheaty flavor, pretty crisp, with light sweetness, sourish touches, lemony notes and a drier spicy finish. Medium-bodied. A decent refreshing Hefeweizen.

16 ounce bottle from State Line. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of wheat, apples, herbal notes and faint bubblegum. The taste is tart wheat, apples and herbal notes. Very herbal and spicy... like Mexican food. Thin bodied, high carbonation. This isn’t really bad or good. Truly an odd beast.

bottle courtesy of Jenny’s monthly beer present. Tart and sweet.. usualy hefe suspects in this one with some added lemon and florals. Overall it’s light, refreshing, good wheat ale.
