COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This coarse filtered wheat ale is fermented with a German yeast culture for a refreshingly light spiciness and hints of citrus fruit. A cloudy appearance and an immense creamy head are characteristic of this lightly hopped Bavarian brew.

Had from bottle. Pours hazy yellow with good head and fizz. Aroma of citrus, banana, and clove. Taste is crisp, drinkable. Flavors of orange at start, cloves and spices in middle, banana at end. Very refreshing Hefe.

Hazy apperance, taste is sweet and of bananas, citrus and wheat. It’s a drinkable, but not great, Hefeweizen

Golden cloudy poor with grassy aroma.Taste is sweet and fruity, with citrus and hints of banana. Not bitter, balanced with a short finish. Medium bodied, light with a short finish. Hey it’s a Hefe Weiss right.

gift bottle, rather cloudy even for type, very typical citrus flavors, maybe a little more pepper than most, slightly darker color and a nice head. Just a hint of iron at the finish but not much.

Twist off bottle from the brewery. Hits the style, but not so drinkable. Big bannana,in the taste and in the aroma. average mouthfeel in fact a bit thin mouthfeel. Carbonation significant. More wheat, complexity needed. Have had much better examples of the style. Decent retained head.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy golden with one inch white head. Medium lacing, medium/thin body, and medium carbonation. Taste is banana (slightly sour), some clove and some lemon.

madvike (1294) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 25, 2011
16 oz. bottle - Pours cloudy light amber with a medium-sized foamy white head. A bit of bubblegum and clove on the nose--the classic smells--but it’s not very pungent. The taste has some of the same characteristics, but with a lot of mineral/aspirin as well. The finish starts sweet but ends dry, with the aspirin taking over and dominating through the long finish. Bites a little hard in the mouth because of the carbonation. Just decent--wouldn’t turn this down, but wouldn’t seek it out, either.

Bottle. Pours only slightly cloudy with a thin white head. Faint faint hint of banana on the nose. Some expression of clove on the tongue but also a hint of metal as well.
