Hazy orangish light brown in color, with a frothy but short head, spotty lacing. Pretty toasty buiscuity aroma, with some hop fruit/herbal pineyness. Some english -ester? tones from yeast.Like a buttery spiceyness. Nice quaffabilty in this beer, pretty tastey and drinkable, nice dry heavy toastiness in body, with solid hop flavor and good bittering. Toasty dry finish.Leaving a herbal/piney hop flavor/bitter.Quite good.

Slightly hazy copper coloured body with an amber glow and a nice thin tan head. Aroma of fresh pine hops, a bit of grapefruit, a lot of nuts and even more malt - a good balance for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and nutty flavour with a lot of caramel, some light toffee and a bit of raisins and other light fruits. Aftertaste shows a tiny bit of hop bitterness, some earthy malt and a light sweetness. Overall, a nice and relatively subtle EPA with some good flavours and a nice complexity with a smooth and easy drinking flavour and finish. Nice to sample and great to bring back from Wisconsin and drink very fresh! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Discount Liqour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 05-September-2012 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 07-September-2012.

Pale amber with a thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma of pale malt, noble hops, toasted malt and some floralness. Taste is pale and vegetal with weird floral hops, pale malt, minor breadiness, some nobility and moderate bitterness. The cones do come through a bit and though average, at least it’s interesting.

Bomber. Pour is a light copper with an average white head. Aroma is hoppy and floral with some earthy yeastiness present. Taste is a little sweet caramel but still with some decent bitterness. The tea flavor comes thru on the finish. Strange but enjoyable.

I was able find a bottle of this at Woodman’s in Rockford, Il for $5.99. This limited brew from Sprecher’s is unique from their year round selection. Scent is mostly bitter from whole cane hops mixed with some citrus. Taste is bitterer than you would expect from a 57 IBU rating. Drinks more as a sipping beer due to the complex taste. Texture is decent but still is a little too thin for my liking. A pretty decent attempt here by Sprecher’s to do something different.
