Bottle. Clear reddish amber pour witha nice fluffy white head. Aroma is floral, sweet honey, and malty. Medium to light palate. Taste is very malty with sweet sugars. Probably pretty good for its style, but this just isn’t a style I gravitate to.

Bottle. Amber with a nice soft foam head. Biscuity honey malt scent with some hops. Big body and flavour. Strong malt with a heavy dark candy edge.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

Bottle from Southland Beverage. Aged over the winter by the brewer, time to try it. Pours a deep golden colour, with a generous retained head. Somewhat of a funky and malty aroma. Big carbonation, hops, funkiness, and spice. A palate number. Not what I expected based n my limited exposure to this style, but good drinkability. Perceived IBU is not high here.

Pours a very clear dark golden color with a very thin white head that dissipates quickly with only a spot or two of lacing. Thin collar throughout. The nose carries a bit of light bready malt plus a touch of floral hops. The flavor is slightly sweet with a lot of bread and mild grain. Slight floral hops, leading to a moderate bitterness in the finish. A bit of a nutty character in the flavor as well. Medium body with moderate carbonation; fairly smooth. Good beer.

16oz bottle. Big granny smith apple juice aroma. Sweet and worty flavor with lots of green apple. Deep gold with a decent white head. Big acetaldehyde presence that needs to go away for this to be a good lager.

Too buttery for a maibock, I had it fresh at one of their brewpubs and it was just too buttery to consider it a success.

Clear, amber color, nice 1 finger head. Semi sweet taste from complex grain bill. Smells of fruit/pear, light orange, malt. Moderate hop taste and malt taste. Semi sweet aftertaste and delicious. Almost like a pale hale. Great citrus hops used in this one.
