Dry hopped character noticeable and pleasant. Fizzy carbonation which left a quickly settling head and no lacing. Light bodied and clean on the finish. Zero complexity and a straightforward, simple style.

Tasted on Tap at 2005 OBF. Light amber color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet and a touch herbal. A medium bodied bodied bock. Malts are fruity and sweet. Light and refreshing. Smooth tasting bock, slightly sweet malts. Nice herbal flavors throughout. Mouthfeel is clean and smooth. Finish is smooth. Aftertatse is slightly sweet and herbal.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - JUL 3, 2005
Clearish rusted peach body with slow and delicate carbonation within. Thin whitish cap. Lacing in minimal stringy rings.
Aroma has a solid malt sweetness hinting to dried prune and pineapple. Hops are pretty evident as well carrying a nice balance of light floral wax and dry leafy spice.
Taste is quite full and upfront with a bold grabbing malt base, sweet and light buttery front gets swept away quickly to a smokey and roasty middle. Hops come in fast there after with a solid brigade of raw floral grasses and spice. Drys out with a whisp of earthyness leftover as a small rendering of citric hop bitterness plays a harsh flat tone over husk roast and dark bread.
Full on malt feel and partial roastyness ensues over a sweet breadyness as its hefty body is nearly too big for its own good.I like it but it needs to bit smoother in the carbonation. Even once this warms, it keeps one hell of a kick after each swallow.
A fairly well balanced and hefty Maibock that has a nice hoppy kick and tinge of roasty breads. Another solid offering by Sprecher.

Deep amber color with a nice sized off white head. Grassy, piney aroma. Thick mouth feel with an intense but very smooth herbal flavor with some hoppy bitterness and a nice malty finish. A very good bock.

Beautiful color and a fruity taste. Only reason this beer isn’t higher is due to a sourness to it that isn’t very fun.

Very rich beer. Hoppy aroma with hints of buttered caramel corn. Flavor is intensely hoppy with both floral and bitter elements; malts are also present with a fruity balance. Very thick, rich mouthfeel. One of the best bocks out there!

This poured a pretty orange-amber with a creamsicle head. The aroma is fruity and inviting and the flavor is a nice cool natural sweetness ... orange, mild bitterness, tart finish.

The aroma is more herbal than flowery. Light orange. Flavor is medium sweet, mildy bitter hops, and more herbs. Medium body.
