COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SPRING - Pale malty flavors are balanced with a rich hop flavor and a light fruit bouquet in this tradtitional spring-time lager. Extended aging and traditional dry-hopping give this potent, blonde bock a distinctive flowery aroma.

Poured cloudy rust brown. Aroma was sweet with some fruit and floral hops. Taste was fruity with a touch of sourness, something like green apples. Some malt and caramel.

Cask. Not one of my favorite styles but I had to try it on cask. Poured a hazy bronze with very little head. Aroma was of sweat yeast dough with a mild grassy note. Taste was of wildflower honey with some yeast background. Mouthfeel was syrupy. The sweetness made this one a beer to sip.

bhensonb (7143) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 9, 2009
Bottle from Beer Geek. Copper amber color with a slight white head. Aroma of sweetish malt with a little grassy hop. Medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is mild caramel/toffee, florality, light stone fruit, and mild bitter. Not your standard American lager. Really quite tasty. It could almost pass for ale. No higher encomium can be allotted.

Slightly hazy golden color with an amber hue and a medium white head. Aroma is mild, hoppy and a little sweet. Taste is malty and a little fruity with a hint of toffee.

Light bronze, soapy, somewhat dense but eventually dying head. Eclectic nose of sweet doughy malt/caramel, minerals, assertive hops and more. Medium bodied, smooth, bitter. alcohol shows just a tad. Malts don’t really make presence known as they should but come out a little more as brew warms (as does the balance) and the palate adjusts to the hops

maltdog (587) - Pueblo, Colorado, USA - DEC 29, 2008
Bottle. Foggy amber, gently carbonated, small creamy head. Malty, candy/toffee and noble hop aroma. Abundant sweet caramelly malt flavor, almost buttery. The palate is rich, yet sharp with fruity acidity. An okay dimensionless maibock, nothing more.

Ron (1574) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 20, 2008
Clear amber-orange with small white head. Floral hops, crisp, cherry, toast and jam aromas. Easy drinking and soft mouthfeel. Medium amount of hops. A little thin in the finish but a really smooth maibock.
