COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SPRING - Pale malty flavors are balanced with a rich hop flavor and a light fruit bouquet in this tradtitional spring-time lager. Extended aging and traditional dry-hopping give this potent, blonde bock a distinctive flowery aroma.

Pours amber/orange, off white head. Aroma, sweet/honey. Taste is malty, light spices, floral hops with light fruity (orange/citrus) notes. Some caramel notes. Average beer.

Sort of odd aroma of candied fruit that is starting to ferment. Orange to orange-red color with a thin head Strange metallic aftertaste sort of clases with the lingering sweetness. Overall, not a very pleasing combination of sensory experiences. I will retase this one next srping, since this may have turned since it is now mid- October.

Bottle courtesy of mother in law. Cracked this one open when the Brew Crew clinched the wild card in the NL. Milwaukee brew for Milwaukee win. Fermented fruits and molasas aroma. Dark gold body with dirty white head. Sweet cough syrup flavor and somewhat metalic. Sticky syrupy sweetness left for aftertaste. Thanks mom and the Brewers.

KyotoLefty (3480) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 1, 2008
Aged and also dry hopped. Light amber color, low, lace head. Aroma rather light. Cereals, grain, apples, some hops. Not very appealing. Very fruity flavor, but not much else. Sweet, with apples, cherries, a bit of hops. Slightly more hoppy in the finish, with fruit. Dry. Very straight-forward, uninteresting malt character. Not much going on here. Like a slightly sweet, too fruity amber lager. Too much fruit, no complexity. Drinkable and un-offensive, but not a traditional maibock taste at all.

Above average looking pour, slightly creamy head that lasts a while. Floral nose. Not as wheaty or hoppy as expected. Bold yet smooth. Aftertaste is weaker than I’d like. Not bad, yet not exceptional.

Clear amber-orange with small white head. Floral, crisp, bready, cherry, toast and jam aromas. Quaff-friendly and soft mouthfeel. A little thin in the finish but a really smooth maibock.

On tap at Oregon Brewers Festival 2008--Poured a rich copper-amber body with soft beige head. Sweet malty cream nose. Sugary, caramel flavor with a distinct booze profile. sweet cream finish witha mild hop back. Pretty satisfying.

Aroma is light fruit with medium malt character. Flavor begins with mostly yeasty fruit characters moving to a medium hoppy finish. I liked the blended transition of this brew. Decent but maybe not worth going out of my way for.
