COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SPRING - Pale malty flavors are balanced with a rich hop flavor and a light fruit bouquet in this tradtitional spring-time lager. Extended aging and traditional dry-hopping give this potent, blonde bock a distinctive flowery aroma.

Bottle from Belmont Party. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate fruity malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

On tap...nice medium head over a deep amber body. Aroma is very fruity and bready...pleasant. Flavor is fruity and very sweet...full of banana and some orange. Slight hop bitterness at the end. Slightly creamy on the palate and very easy drinking...a nice rendition of the style!

Golden, nice thick foamy head. Aroma is malty and at times a bit sharp with bourbon notes. Palate is creamy, malty and I taste caramel. Very good.

16oz. bottle. Fruity, lightly sweet and citric aroma, some mild honey, bready malts, apple and touches of doughy yeast. Clear light-medium amber color with a lasting, foamy, off-white head. Flavor is again lightly fruity and sweet, with a light wash of spicy, citric hop bitterness at the end. Effervescent, thin and semi-dry on the palate, body is light-medium. Very easy to quaff, but not a lot to this one, really, being one of the milder Maibocks I’ve run across. Lacking that particular "heft" I generally seek in the style, I suppose.

Tap at HDG - clear golden beer - flowery, almost perfume-like aroma, with an odd musty quality - thin body - flavor of honey, grain, mild flowers - light and drinkable, but nothing special.

1pint bottle. pours clear golden-amber with creamy off white head. odd aroma of toasted malts, banana, and mold. flavor is toasted malt, sour malt flavors, banana, apple, with a stale grainy finish. ahh, the sourness makes this very unenjoyable.

Able to come across this Maibock just before the month it honors has ended. I am a huge fan of this style and Sprecher has brewed up a great one. Clear, dense copper color with an orange tint. Large, filmy white head with slow carbonation and spotty lacing. Intriguing aroma of sweet, delicate malts, juicy citrus, and fresh flowers. Awesome scent, really sums up what the Spring season is all about. Light yet hearty body, real clean and refreshing. Nice drink after a long warm day. The flavor follows suit with the aroma. Plenty of caramel and nutty malts, real smooth with a nice depth. Citrus zest and floral hop flavors. Balanced and somewhat dry. This is excellent, goodbye May.

The Dan Journal #176. Tasted 5/30/08. Filtered with a honey golden hue. Trace ring of head. Mild nose with hints of honey and grainy. Medium bodied with a crisp effervescence. Grassy and honey. Tight medium hop profile.
