I’ve lived in Wisc my whole life, and this is the first time I had a Sprecher rbew. Generous almond coloured head, orange-golden coloured body. Roasted malts, carmel and cinnamon in the aroma. midpalate the taste is a little dry and then it finishes firm and well balanced, well integrated hop finish.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BigBeer45 (934) - Michigan, USA - MAY 19, 2008
Pours a clear deep golden color with orange-amber backgrounds here and there, has a white creamy medium sized head that deflates to a thin covering and leaves some bubbly lacing on the glass , effervescence is persistant, medium or so malt aroma, some faint sweetness but I was expecting more, there are some toasted malt fragrances, flavor of toasted malt and bread, more malt sweetness (some honey sweetness) then what is let on by the nose, some grain in the taste, has a medium or less hop bitterness, malt sweetness is there at the start of a drink but ends quickly with a dry palate and hop bitterness, has a medium mouth feel, I would prefer more malt flavor and a little more sweetness but this was not bad.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Strykzone (2906) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 13, 2008
Copper colored beer with a nice orange tinted head. Body is almost clear with some active carbonation. Hoppy nose with fruit and just a bit of grapefruit. This is a nicely hopped beer with light fruit and floral notes. There is some nice caramel and pepper spice. Slightly bitter. This is a beer that is more than the sum of its parts. Nothing stands out but everything works well together and makes for a pleasant beer sampling experience.

Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is caramel and toast. Medium body. Flavor is on the lighter side. Malty with a caramel note and a light fruity sweetness. Not bad, just didn’t really do it for me.

Bottle with hard to remove twist top. Slightly hazy yellow-orange color with dying head. Smells like a hefty lager. Soft carbonation. Body leans toward the full side. Rich taste, more malt than hops, grain and flowers. Long finish. Flavorful lager, leaning more toward early than late spring.
