1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
16 ounce bottle purchased at the Sprecher Brewery - there was one case of this beer tucked on the floor of the gift shop, with the neck labels barely visible, as if they were trying to hide it from people - it only stood out to me because the caps were a different color than the other beers on sale in the shop - "pizza beer," I thought. - "that is going to suck, but I soooo need to try it" - the pours is actually quite nice - hazy golden, with a well-retained, frothy head - looks a bit like a hefeweizen - the aroma gives an initial smack of garlic and oregano, followed by some doughiness, yeast, pale malt - as I smell it, I imagine a fat, sweaty guy from Bensonhurst breathing in my face - after that, the flavor really doesnít seem too bad - it is fairly yeasty and doughy up front, followed by slight tomato and basil - the garlic comes in in the finish, along with a moderate spiciness - some wheat flavors throughout - nothing too offensive in the flavor - however, the more I drink of it, the more it starts to taste like I backwashed into a bottle of wheat beer after eating a dozen garlic knots - worth the experience, I guess.

Great and surprising pizza aroma. With tomato, oregano and even cheese. Very light body, lager like base. Pretty cool concept beer but thatís it.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, tomato, spicy, pizza, oregano, salami - pepperoni. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Backlog: 500ml bottle from Half Time Beverage Poughkeepsie NY. Pours a hazy orange color with a small foamy white head. Pizza-ish aroma. Very herbal, oregano, basil, garlic cloves, and hints of malt and tomatoes. Taste is similar. Mostly lots of Italian herbs, malty, not much tomato, and hints of toasted garlic. Very strange, but surprisingly drinkable.

Bottle: thanks to andrewmb83. Aroma: rather malty, I do smell pizza, but not sure if its my brain playing tricks. I smell mostly malts. Appearance: pretty light with a thin white head. Taste: again, I donít know if it is a trick but I taste pizza. Tastes mostly of malts but I do get a basil and oregano flavor as well. Palate: light bodied, soft carbonation. Overall: glad I got to try it. Great idea.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. Aroma is like snorting oregano, with other herbal spice in the background. Taste is mixed herbs, light bread. Interesting gimmick.

500 ml. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a decent white head. Aroma of oregano, basil, and garlic. Taste is the same. Didnít get much tomato. Guess it would make a good ingredient. Canít say the same for drinking.

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Taste pretty much how you would think. A lot of oregano, garlic and tomato paste flavors. Overall though pretty watered down. Not the best but it is interesting.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500mL thanks to Jake! Pours a hazy light orange, medium to low white foam with no retention. Nose is stale, sticky orange candies. Mild butterscotch. Taste is mostly butterscotch, water. Bland, drained. Not much flavor at all here.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours clear dark golden color with white head. Aromas of oregano, basil and garlic. Similar flavors. Medium body with average carbonation. I was very surprised with this one. Was expecting a drain pour and it wasnít that bad. Iíve had a lot worse "craft beers".
