Fire-brewed African style ale, brewed with banana extract
Bananas are the main ingredient in mbege style beers popular in Eastern Africa. In keeping with tradition, this is brewed with real bananas and presented unfiltered. Light hints of banana remain present in the aroma and flavor of this unique offering

Bottle at the HDG, pured into a goblet head. The small head that appears from the bottle very quickly fades into nothingness. Making the orange very clear but not totally lucid beer seem very still. Aroma is very strong of very ripe tropical fruits, sweet bubblegem, and of course banana. All very nice smells but its missing a few thing... no aromas of malt, barley or anything beer related. Taste is all fruit soda/guarana. It came out as a great carbonated fruit extract soda but its barely recognizable as beer. Its very similar to ABís B to the E but more tropical fruit. I am torn a bit cause I like the fruit flavors but its not beer. But the longer I drink it the more the sweetness because nausating, couldnít even finish the beer.

Hazy amber color. Smell of hops, malt, bannans, tartness, flowers, bitters, yeast and alcohol. Tastes very bitter and tart. It almost tastes like they put a roll of Sweettarts candy in water and said "here ya go, drink up!". Malt, spice and hops back up the candy flavor in this one.

Bottle from 1FastSTi. Hazy apricot color. Malty banana aroma. The taste was malty and smooth with nice refreshing banana flavors throughout. Slightly fizzy carbonation and finish. Refreshing never the less.

Semi-hazed and bright bronzy-pale yellow in color with some soda bubble lacing at the edges. Quite a unique and splendid aroma. Banana cream is ever-present, along with a caramel, lime and guava trifactor. Lemon honey with meringue intuitions meets up with something akin to stuffy tropical rain forests. Full flavor pulls through with a banana custard flavor and thickness. Heavily saturated, doughy graham makings. Papaya and pils malt shine with lemon cream coatings. Tropical tongue clasps and gummy banana saltwater taffy. Truly original. Hazelnut dust reaps an unsalted, rustic sense, finishing with caramelized wheat and crisp grain traits, with the overall agenda dedicated to bananas up through the very last drop.

Pours a golden orange color. No head to speak of. Aroma is very interesting, smells of real ripe bananas. Sweet smelling. When it hits the tongue however, it is not sweet at all. I totally agree with the circus peanuts statement. I mean, this is that candy, in a liquid form. Not much banana to speak of at all. Finishes thin and sour. You know, Im going to give this a higher rating than it probably deserves just because I love circus peanuts, and there will be no other beer in the world to recreate this awesomeness flavor. A circus peanut flavoreed berliner weiss.

Lightly cloudy dark golden to amber color. smallish, but stable head. Very much like candy in the aroma. A mix of bananas and cream soda. Powerful flavors from the start. Bananas mashed with light cloves, circus peanuts and cinnamon. A mild wheat and pale malt emerges mid quaff that is quite pleasant and much more than I expected. The candy and light spice and extract twang come back in the linger. But actually quite a bit better than I expected.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a big firm head. Aroma of bananas, candy sugar and spices. Flavor is nowhere near as sweet as I expected. The banana is still there but itís tempered with a bit of malt and hops. Bitter finish accompanying a rather light, watery body and lively carbonation makes this more refreshing than I expected. It is interesting and I probably enjoyed it more than I thought I would thanks to the low sweetness. I donít think this will be anyones favorite but itís worth trying a few.

Over ripe banana aroma, with hints of other spices, taste comes on as a thin banana with a slight malt and hop background, can almost detect some ginger,a very harsh bitterness comes in at the end, almost like a banana peel, very different , interesting, but I like the banana in German Weisses better. Thanks Kingpin
