16oz bottle-A dark golden/light amber body with no head whatsoever and it poured like soda pop. Aroma of sweetenss followed by crap from the primate exhibit at the zoo. Taste of banana with a slight sourness then nothing. I was expecting worse.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2007 Pours a cloudy pale amber with a very thin fizzy white head and some sediment. Smells like a vegetable compost pile. Sweet tart vinous taste of over ripe bananas with some medicinal notes as well. Acidic feel in the throat after the swallow. I suppose if you lived in eastern Africa and were used to seeing predatory wild animals and starving children with flies on their faces, you might consider this a great beer. But since I don’t - - I don’t.

Great idea, inventive and a good try. The smell and appearance is promising but the mouthfeel is too sweet for me. I really tried but just not for me.

Yuck. Sweet, a little spicy, but gave the distinct impression of drinking silage.

16oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with an averaged sized head. Aromas of bananas with some citrus and caramel in the background. Tastes of bananas. This one was bananas all the way - stronger in the aromas though.

500 ml bottle. Deep cloudy pale amber coloured brew. Aroma is lightly spicy with soft toasted grain character over a lightly banana-ish flavour. A hint of smokiness with a husky earthiness as well. Warming brings up a slightly vineous sherryish note. A bit phenolic and spicy with light orange citrus, banana and a soft tartness on the back. Honeyed sweetness on the back. The graininess and tartness are interesting, but the phenolics get a bit much after awhile.

Pours to a bright coppery golden body with lots of carbonation and a fizzy white head. The aroma is dehydrated banana chips. No signs of malt or anything else. The flavor is also dehydrated banana chips. A toasted malt lurks on the finish. Oddly intriguing and drinkable. The palate is medium bodied and has a dry extract quality. The banana is really pervasive.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheDean (786) - MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 4, 2007
Interesting aroma. Interesting pour, cloudy, like a river that’s been dragged and the sedimit kicked up. The guy at the brewery told me I’d either love or hate this beer. Not sure if I feel either way about it. Overwelming orange and banana flavor. Not like a beer, taste like something else - not sure what. Very different. Think I like it.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Bockyhorsey (2607) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - AUG 4, 2007
16oz. bottle. Wife bought this one from Wi. trip. Banana is in the aroma but smells like those that are all black from sitting around too long. Murky orange body looked like good head on pour but that disipated quickly. Fruity flavor some banana but the malt caramel has ths one going down like sludge and just creating a sugar golf ball in the beer gut. Carbinated belching afterward.

Dark Autumn Orange Color with No Head. What Could be Perceived as Cooked Bananas, Plums, Spice and Sorghum on the Nose. Light Bodied, Lightly Syruped Mouthfeel. Lightly Carbonated...A Whole Bunch of Cooked Bananas and Subtle Spice Dominate the Brew. At First, It Tasted More Like Plums, But Could be the Bananas from Being Brewed....Bittersweet Dry Aftertaste. Enjoyable Enough. Certainly Worth Trying if Only for the Uniqueness.
