3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not quite what I was hoping for. Maybe my bottle wasn't as fresh as it ought to have been though - I found it rater metallic tasting with a musty aroma. Beyond that, quite sweet, decently balanced. Below average for the style.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
appearance: clear coppery orange, with a finger of creamy beige head that shrinks to a collar; good curtains of bubbles linger. aroma: caramel, toffee, raspberry, cherry, toasted nuts. taste: very sweet caramel and toffee up front, then the fruitiness from the aroma comes through clearly; then comes a bit of earthy, almost herbal bitterness. finish: the malty, fruity sweetness comes back at the very end, but there’s also a hint of minerality that comes out. notes: This is a good oktoberfest. It’s a little rich and fruity for my preferences in the style, but it’s undeniably good. Only thing I wasn’t wild about was the slightly astringent, herbal minerality on the back end.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from a friend in Wisconsin. Pours pour from the 12o stuffy bottle red amber with an off-white head and decent lacing . Nose of rich roasted caramel malts. Medium body and very smooth lager mouthfeel. Flavor hows toffee and a bit of floral hoops., Finishes earth and dry, .A very nice Marzen in the German style. I liked this one a lot.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Clear amber brown color, beige head cover, streaks of lace. Taste is caramel toffee and malt that becomes more earthy and bitter on the swallow, then moves neatly to a lingering sweet finish. Nothing notable here, just as it should be: comfort beer for nippy autumn evenings.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A sweeter interpretation of the style, a bit muddy flavorwise but tending towards general caramel maltiness. Lacks the complexity of the Full Sail Marzen, but still a really good version of the style.

On tap. Very good Oktoberfest, malty, thick, and sweet. One of the better American examples of a Marzen.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured this lager cold into a Samuel Adams glass. The pour yielded a small off-white head with a red-brown,cloudy, body, with minimal lacing, Note of spice are dominant in this brew, with a metallic aftertaste which linger throughout the tasting. A medium body, though any sweetness that could be had from the malts is drowned out by the previously mentioned aftertaste.

wow, refreshing, zippy, what a night, what a beer! Here I am, living, being alive! What a treat. I’m watching Gross Point Blank and sipping this sweet nectar. Ambrosia. Oh what a joy. A long down diluted with an evening treat.
