Citrusy aroma with flavors to match. Slight grassy hints with a smokey quality. This beer is nicely balanced and mega flavorable. Served in a bottle and good bit of alcohol but not overpowering. This is one beer you have to try.

500 ml bottle. The pour is a muddy brown with a small ring of head that vanishes quickly. The aroma is very malty. There is a strong toffee presence and there isn't a whole lot going on there. Strong dark fruits all throughout. I love the aroma. The flavor mimics this. There is the sweetness and the dark fruits. The mouth feel is thicker and syrupy and with a light carbonation gives it a little velvety feel. The aftertaste is lingeringly malty and smooth. This is a very good scotch ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer that taught me the difference between a Scottish ale and a scotch ale. Dark amber full bodied beer. I am rating it a 5 simply to try to counter the ridiculously low rating that it has on this website

Bottle poured a cloudy amber hue w/a small fully diminishing head. Big sweet peaty aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are peat, malts, sugar, and smoke. Full bodied, soft carbonation and a light boozy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark amber with a thin head. Caramel, roasted malt and a light smokiness. A tad too sweet for my taste but still mighty fine.
