COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the northern style of an English ale. This light brown ale has a nice caramel and toasted malt flavor, combined with a fresh hoppy aroma that is slightly fruity. This is nicely complimented by a subtle bitterness that rounds out the palate.

12 oz. Dark brown with a lasting meringue of foam. Nose of graham crackers, marshmallow, ash and earthy, green herbs. Taste is sweet cherry, ground corn, and a barely balancing finish of earthy spice and toasted nut shell. Light-medium body is watery, and a little fizzy. Very interesting take on the style, but just a bit too fruity sweet even with a sour-acidic and nearly mouth-puckering finish.

As the title says, a pub ale, meaning easy to drink, not too much on maltiness or hoppiness, a session beer mainly.

I drank it quick, so I didn’t get much of a chance to enjoy it, but it was good.

As "Sprecher Pub Brown Ale". Pours brown with an off white head. Aroma of...Brown ale. Flavor of...Brown ale. It’s the Brownest ale of ALL!

On tap @ Sprecher. Nice mid-brown dark appearance with a decent head and later lace. Aroma was of lightly sweet malt and light hops. Taste was also of malts with a slight burnt hue and a nice smooth lightly hopped finish. Good mouthfeel. Overall, a nice brown ale that I will likely re-visit sometime in the future.

Pours orange/brown with off white head, aroma is a bit of roasted malt with a big nutty component. Taste up front is a bit of hops leading into a nutty middle and finishing pretty sweet. Not bad flavors, but the tastes were really weak.

Pours dark amber to copper with a 2 finger creamy eggshell head that has great retention. Aroma is toasted grain, toasted nuts, light citrus and herbal hops, toffee, and light woody notes. Flavor is sweet malt, cereal grain a little sweet corn, sweet, toasted nuts, buttery toffee, citrus and herbal hop notes. Palate is light bodied off dry throughout and with a full, but not toos sharp carbonation. Not too bad overall, kid of normal, all around solid, but not overly interesting Brown Ale.
