Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Oct 14, 2007 Pours copper and slightly hazy with a thin white head. Smells of rice and fruit with some subtle peppery splashes. Taste is a little opn the funky side with some underrlying lactic hints, some fruit and hints of sweet malt. Decent for what it is. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Oct 4, 2007 Bottle from Windy City. Hazy yellow golden color upon pouring. Smells alot like a sake. Somewhat yeasty. Reminds me of a watered down sake. Some banana and spice. Drinkable, but nothing I’d buy again. Nuffield (2718), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Sep 15, 2007 It seems like it must be a bad thing when brewers are trying to emulate African beers, which aren’t exactly famous as "cream of the crop" beers. But this one is satisfying--there’s a quality like a much better Belgian beer, sweet, slightly funky, with good aroma of lemons and yeast. I might have guessed it was heading toward the direction of a triple. But it’s not there yet. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Sep 5, 2007 16oz bottle-Unfiltered golden yellow with a small ring for a head which has an aroma of yeast and bread. Taste of brief sourness, funk, and yeasty. All these sorghum beers have been nasty. I’m glad I am not allergic to wheat or barley. Don’t understand how it scores so high!!!!!! Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 3, 2007 Copper coloer with shit floting in it.Small head. Doughy bready aroma. The taste was the same wuth some strange tart funk and caramel. Not bad, but becomes annoying after awhile. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 06/21/2007

wxman (582), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 29, 2007 Pours a cloudy yellow with lots of sediment and a large-bead white head that is minimal. Aroma is bread dough, bubble gum and chemicals. Taste is "like" a wheat beer in the broadest sense. This has an odd sour, tart, and sweet taste with a wet cardboard characteristic reminiscent of a bad batch of home brew I made 15 years ago when I was just starting out. Strange, but like my homebrew, not a throw-away. NOTE: If you’d like to duplicate this at home more cheaply w/o the hassle of looking for sorghum malt, brew a batch of wheat beer as you would normally but don’t sanitize your bottles properly. In two weeks, voila! GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 6, 2007 16 oz bottle. Poured a clear golden color. Head was spritzy, white, and disappeared in quick fashion. There was no lace left behind. Light fruity aroma, mostly apple, with a hint of carboard. Flavor was similar and occasionally reminded me of inexpensive champaign. Not my bag.
