A delicate balance of toasted malt and fresh hops give this medium-bodied German style lager an intriguing complex flavor. A creamy head, deep golden color and an impressive hop bouquet make this a very special beer.

Brought back from Milwaukee by my friend Nick Wight...thanks. Pours a clear golden/amber color with a very small head. Aroma is extremely grainy, crackers. I smell corn meal. Flavor is malty and some corn with some good hop balance. A very interesting and tasty beer. Crisp and clean mouthfeel.

Bottle. Light caramel malt aroma. Amber with a small head. Light caramel malt flavor with a light hops finish. A subtle beer - nothing too bold with this beer.

Can @ home picked up at Wilburís Foco. Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a big, fluffy, cream colored head. Toasted malty, corn, herbal, husky, grainy, fairly bitter cracker aroma. Tangy, bitter woody, grassy, husky, grainy malty flavor. Kind of a rough texture. Tastes like shit to me, but so has everything else tonight, so fuck it.

Draft at Craft. Pours gold with off-white head. One of the golder ambers Iíve had. The nose and flavor had hopcitrus, pale male, and some mild fruit, but not a great deal was going on with this one. Average and forgettable for me.

Tap. Gold/red pour, very minimal head. Very slight aroma of bread and malt. Pretty good flavor thanks to the hops.

On tap @ the ‹ber Tap Room in the Wisconsin Cheese Shop, Milwaukee. Bland sweetish caramel with wintergreen notes. Odd.

500 ml bottle. Deep amber coloured brew. Very fresh vienna malt aroma, bread crust, light toast and a hint of brown sugar/caramel. Clean maltiness. Rich and sweet tasting. A touch of faint smokiness appears toward the finish. Soft hoppiness just keeps this balanced, but I can see how some might find it cloying. I donít and think itís an excellent example of the style.

16 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is medium caramel malts and faint hoppiness. The flavor is caramel malts, light roasted character, faint earthy hops, and light fruitiness. Medium light body. Not bad, just not exiting.

Compact 16 oz bottle. Pours more copper than amber with light tan head. The aroma is very light and seems to consist of two different malts. One is a lightly roasted variety, Munich maybe, the other is a bit more roasted. The flavor might have a touch of the lightly roasted grains but it is more roasted malts or slightly nutty. The hops actually come through a bit stronger than the malts. It is a nicely balanced light tasting beer.
