vadavid (131), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Mar 8, 2008 Pours bright copper-orange with a moderate head. The aroma is sweet, with roasted malt. There’s a hint of fruit. The taste is sweet malt with some graininess. A small bit of hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin and over-carbonated.
rudolf (1540), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Goodbar Beer Club. Nose is honey & hot dogs w. mustyness. Odd to say the least. Flavor is caramel , some noble hop, toffee. Somewhat cloying with a bunch of honey in the finish. Gregis (848), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bottle purchased at Corral Liquors, in Granite City, IL. Pours a slightly hazy amber-orange with a thin, creamy, off-white cap. The nose is a muted, lightly toasted malt with a subtle fruity hop note in support. Light to medium-bodied and slick, the mouthfeel transitions to a lightly grainy and mildly dry finish. Sweet and fruity toasted malt with a light hop bite. A decent, quaffable session brew, but following Brooklyn Lager, it pales by comparison. thejoeshow (65), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 13, 2008 16oz Bottle. Pours a dark amber/orange with a nice, white, lingering head that laces very nicely. Aroma is mainly sweet malts with a hint of hop presence but nothing super notable. The flavor comes in sweet in the front with a bit of bitter at the end. So I guess that makes it fairly balanced. :) I do feel that there could be a little more to the flavor, it’s a fairly "safe" beer, however, it’s not bad. mvcramer (187), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Jun 12, 2008 A quality amber lager. Looks a bit better than the flavor that I got. Pours a gorgeous copper color with a puffy white head. Very nice. Aroma is decent, though not quite as floral as a top Vienna, like a Sam Boston Lager. A bit over bittered on the back of the palate. Enjoyable, but not one of the best. Would definitely order again, if given the opportunity. phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 4, 2008 This beer pours a very nice amber colour with a medium sized off white head. Pleasent amount of sweet roasted malted flavors and a moderate amount of hops in the finish. Nutty, soft caramel, and subtle hops in the finish.
