Traditional unfiltered wheat beer with a distinctively fruit character and brewed from barley, wheat, corn and coriander leaving a slight citrus after taste. Try it with a slice of lemon.

Draught as a pot size at International Hotel (Spring Hill Craft Brewery), Brisbane. On July 23, 2013.
Made sure to let them know I did not want lemon in it.
Cloudy yellow color, white head. sweet, malty, yeasty, choriander, herbal taste. Yeasty, some lemon aftertaste. Fizzy high co2 mouthfeel, medium low bitterness. Sweet, lemon, choriander scent.

On tap at International Hotel, Brisbane. Poured a cloudy golden colour with a thin white bubble head. Laced OK. Moderate carbonation. Aroma of wheat, yeast and a hint of cloves. Taste of sweet wheat, a hint of cloves/spices followed by a trace of citrus. Light body. Short smooth clean finish.

The International Hotel in Spring Hill (about 15mins walk from CBD) is a nice unpretentious pub with attached microbrewery. The front bar serves standard Aussie macro beers but on the side there are taps that sell 5 beers brewed on the premises. This one is a Belgian-style wheat beer that is rather lacking in flavour and body but at least the palate is clean and refreshing. It pours pale cloudy yellow with a small white head. OK and cheap at $5.50 a pint.

On tap. There is the familiar haziness of a wheat beer and the pale lemon rind straw colour. The flavour was basic and non descript and the beer was light in the mouth. Would make for a good session beer.

Rock bottom. Water with the taste of wheat in it. Don’t get any spice. 50 characters yeah!

Draught at International Hotel, Brisbane. Pours golden with small white head. Strange aroma similar to lemon tea mixed with coriander. The flavour is not much better. I couldn’t finish a glass of this. Unpleasant.

Pale gold, very lightly carbonated with a thin weak head which drops very quickly. Light citric aroma. Cry citrusy flavour with an overly bitter finish for the style.

Tasty. Some musk sticks, actually fags/fads. OK stuff if a little salty. Kind of gimmicy cool and peppery. Afterwards some infection Kmart confection.

nfob03. i changed my mind a couple of times about this one. i was put off a bit by the leaded petrol aroma. some wheat tartness was pleasant but a nasty lemon-scented toilet cleaner tang crept through. not sure if the keg was looked after well enough at the beer festival

Slightly eggy sulfuric nose, sweet start, with a peppery, spicy finish. hoppy, slightly citric tang, the body is quite light and watery. Interesting that they use corn in this one. Having a lemon with it never crossed my mind while having it.
